Jackie McDowell is an artist and musician residing in Pittsburgh. She sings and plays a variety of instruments on her recordings but mainly accompanies herself with organ and Appalachian dulcimer during live performances. Primarily modal, her music builds loosely upon traditional song structures without any strict adherence to formality, often towing the line between dark and light themes. Since 2009, Jackie has been actively playing and recording in projects including Sun Cycles, WaterFinder and Inez Lightfoot; she has been performing solo under her own name since early 2013.
